We unfortunately don't have anything we can recommend for that one, but make sure you get high quality pre-cut vinyl from 3M or Avery Dennison

You will have wrinkles and you can still technically shrink it after but it tends to be more tedious that way and cause permanent creases.

We don't recommend putting leathershield on the plastic areas. Put tape around the plastic when you're applying the leathershield to keep it clean. Yes, the issue you described has been noted by others. Some early deliveries and pre-production models have had a wavy or uneven appearance in the metal panels. The process of stamping and forming these large, flat panels can sometimes lead to visible distortions or waviness, especially when viewed from certain angles. Tesla is likely working to address these issues as production ramps up. Since that does bother you, I would keep an eye on user reviews and forums that can provide insight into how widespread the issue is and whether improvements are being made. Reddit is usually a good place to start.

Slip solution helps move the PPF in place, and tack solution flushes out the slip to make it adhere in place. You use way more slip to install ppf, but both are needed. Honestly we don't recommend taking any wrapped vehicle through an auto car wash. Washing by hand will allow both films to last longer. But to compare the two: Vinyl Wrap: These are typically more sensitive to brushes and high pressure water. Harsh chemicals used in the auto car washes can degrade the color over time. Frequent automatic washes will shorten the lifespan of the vinyl. PPF: Generally withstands the conditions of an automatic car wash better than vinyl. Better protection against scratches and chips from brushes and debris. Less likely to be damaged or degraded by the wash process, maintaining its protective properties. However, frequent automatic washes will degrade those protective properties overtime, shortening the lifespan of the PPF.

That will help! The biggest difference between Turtle wax and a ceramic coating is that you'll have to apply the turtle wax about every 3-6 months, but the ceramic coating will last about 2-3 years. That will be the more expensive option, but it will last around 5-10 years. It will protect against UV rays, scratches, rock chips, staining, etc if you're looking for a complete protection option

It's the same washer fluid that's in the front so it's really easy to wipe off with no stains. I just wouldn't leave it on there for a long while.

Yes, cheap PPF can be harder to work with. They usually have lower-quality adhesive, making it harder to apply smoothly without bubbles or edges lifting. It can also tear or stretch easier during application. It might not be as thick or flexible as premium options, making it more difficult to mold to the contours of the vehicle. And overall, it will most likely have poor clarity.

Funny story. This one was so early the foundation etching was on the wrong place on this vehicle. So when we made our templates we just followed that. Little did we know that it was an error on that vehicle so we updated it for future guides!

Hmmm not sure if that would work. But I can take a look at the EPC Catalog and see if it’s feasible. The internals from 2023 to the new 2024 model is pretty different.

This is a shop preference. There are certain ways you can still clean and get under there.

No need for vinyl. Don’t really have to for ppf but I can do another video to tuck without removing.

Are you buying from Tesla? That should be the right one. Also, keep in mind that the turn signals are amber color while the brake lights are red. This might be why you are seeing lights that appear amber-they include amber turn signals but should still have red brake lights.
